Hey Everyone! It has been MONTHS since I last blogged, but for good reason. Mom life can be overwhelming on its own, all the diaper changes, laundry, after school activities, house cleaning… I probably don’t need to go on… you already know what I mean!!
Anywho, a lot has happened in the last few months. On top of regular life activities, we finally took the leap to home ownership! Over the last year we have been searching off and on for a house that would suite our needs. In March of this year we finally resumed our search and started to look again. One of our requirements was to stay in the little town we loved so much and we saw a few great places but none of them were the one. On a whim and the idea that we were stead fast on staying in our little town, we agreed to take a “look” at a home just a few minutes away in the next town over. On the ride over I insisted to Miss Aly that we were just looking and it couldn’t hurt because we didn’t want to leave our little town.
Pulling up to the house we immediately got excited and couldn’t wait to see the inside. Needless to say we fell in love! So yea… that happened… We bought a house! (If you’re looking to buy your first house, check out my post “4 Mistakes to Avoid When Buying Your First Home”)
Adding to the house buying madness, I also revived a few of my “hobbies”, one of them being crocheting. Years ago I was on a knitting and crocheting frenzy! I had just about everything, knit hats, blankets, toys, scarves (infinity and cowl style), slippers… I deiced to launch a website ( Knitblok ) to sell all the items I created and make more to sell at craft shows! So add launching another website , proms, ads, crocheting and knitting new items to the long list of task to keep up with… Did I mention I was still working from home?
I have my plate piled high like Thanksgiving dinner! And now…Maternity leave is about to end! This will be the first time that we will be putting one of our kids in childcare so we can both work. I can definitely say I an NOT excited about it but it needs to be done. Finding the right daycare/day home is proving to be challenging.
So now you know why I haven’t been blogging in the last few months. Hopefully going back to work won’t make it even harder to keep up with EOAM and Knitblok!!
Till the next one!!
